IBLD is Coming:
How Do We Celebrate?

It’s that time of year again. Boylovers everywhere
will be celebrating International Boylove Day, a day
of remembrance, and male bonding; a day of appreciation
for the Yfs that have touched your lives, or appreciation
for boys in general, and quite possibly, a day to honor
the men whom have touched your life.

FreeSpirits recently released a new portion of their
site called, Boywiki. This is a place for boylovers to
search and learn about all the areas of boylove,

everything from ‘what is a YF?’ to ‘what is International Boylove Day?’ According to
Boywiki, International Boylove Day is “…a day for boylovers to come together in solidarity,
to remind each other of our good and loving natures, and a day for remembrance (Boywiki).”
International Boylove Day, (also known as: IBLD) is celebrated on the Spring and Winter
Solstice, but it has also been known to be celebrated on the Saturdays following the
Solstice dates. The next observation of IBLD is going to be this december (2005).
Mark these dates on your ‘mental’ calendar:

Upcoming IBLD dates:

Solstice Date: 21 December 2005
Saturday Date: 24 December 2005

How To Celebrate

Ever since it’s inception back in 1998, there has been a debate amongst boylovers
about how best to celebrate IBLD. According to Boywiki, “The originally suggested
way of observing IBLD was to leave a small blue candle in a window or a public place
in a window or a public place with a small note explaining why the candle was there.
the candle was there. Sending anonymous notes to local newspapers was also a popularly
suggested activity (Boywiki).”
